In fact, they don\u2019t open their eyes until they\u2019re about 10\u201314 days old!<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At birth, lion cubs weigh around 2\u20134 pounds and rely entirely on their mothers for protection and nourishment. The first few weeks of their lives are spent hiding in dense vegetation, staying safe from predators like hyenas and leopards. During this time, the lionesses of the pride take turns caring for and nursing the cubs, while the males typically stay out of the way.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the cubs grow, they start exploring their surroundings and learning vital skills like hunting and socializing. Their vision improves, and they begin to interact more with other pride members.
